Nora, a smart cat enjoys playing piano

Nora The Piano Cat™ Nora is a cat from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the United States who likes to play the piano. Artists and musicians Betsy Alexander and Burnell Yow! adopted her from a shelter in 2004. Just one year later, Nora, on her own, began sitting at the piano playing notes with both paws on the keys. This became a daily occurrence, much to the delight and amazement of Betsy and Burnell, their friends, and Betsy's many private piano students. She especially loved "sitting in" and playing duets with the students. In January of 2007, Betsy and Burnell posted the first video of Nora on YouTube.com. Responses to the video came pouring in from all over the world. And the news media quickly jumped on the Nora bandwagon. Television, radio, and magazines picked up the story. Within five months, the video had garnered over five million views on the Internet, alone. And it was also seen on International TV from China to Finland, from New Zealand to Lebanon. Nora, the little cat who would redefine what animals were capable of, has struck a chord world-wide, and continues to warm the hearts of children, cat lovers, and musicians everywhere - not to mention animal behaviorists. Due to popular demand for a DVD featuring the original videos in their uncompressed and full-size state, we are proud to now offer "NORA: Practice Makes Purr-fect," "Nora: The Sequel," and "Nora Calls the Piano Tuner" on a single DVD. It's great to watch Nora on the big screen, to give as gifts, or to simply share with someone who doesn't have a computer or access to the Internet.

Remarks from Lily:
In fact, as far as I know, she was taken from a Shelter Home, mind you!!! She was just a kitten then, now becoming so popular and every CD/DVD sold, part of what is earned is donated to Shelter Home to help other unfortunate cats at the Shelter. I believe since she receive enough love from her owners, this has turned her into a very happy and unique cat!!!

So be kind to animals!!!

My comments:
I am so proud of Nora, the talented cat who has the ability to help other cats from the shelter home instead of some humans!!! I for once have been rescuing some homeless cats, altogether with me including my own cats the # is 31 including 5 kittens recently saved. All because of previous owners who did not want to spay and neuter them. I built them a spacious shelter. It's so sad to note that most animals around the world are suffering! I hope this will stop soon!
